Melissa’s love and passion for fitness, health and nutrition spring from her birth in the French Alps and the experience of being put on a pair of skis at the age of 2. Since that first ski run, Melissa has been profoundly involved in sports and fitness, playing competitive soccer and tennis growing up and at national levels in both sports. Following an injury while playing DIV I college tennis, Melissa helped train the team, leading to her certification as a personal trainer, where she worked with many college athletes. With Italian parents on both sides, Melissa couldn’t help but fall in love with cooking and great food, eventually becoming a certified nutritionist and wellness coach. She has counseled many individuals in nutrition and wellness, including cofounding an all-natural and organic food manufacturing company, and co-writing and self-publishing a book titled Eating Your Way to Health…Mediterranean Style, all while earning an MBA from the University of Miami.Melissa’s first journey into yoga was at BV Yoga in 2010. She absolutely loved her first class and has been growing in so many ways through yoga each and every day since then.
