WHY YOGA: Yoga has brought my closer to myself, opened me up to life, and strengthened me physically, emotionally and spiritually. I am passionate about the power of yoga and the power of people. I am grateful to have the opportunity to teach yoga.
HOW I LIVE MY PRACTICE: I practice yoga and live my life with integrity. To me, this means being honest with myself and others, and respecting myself and every person I come in contact with.
WHERE I AM MOST CHALLENGED BY MY PRACTICE: My challenge is to face these feelings and let them go, creating space to build strength and resilience. Balance poses require intense focus and provide a space for me to let go of insecurities and believe in myself.
THE ONE THING I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT: Mornings, afternoons, nights and the beach.
THE BOOK I KEEP ON MY BED SIDE TABLE: 40 Days to Personal Revolution by Baron Bapstiste.
HOW I HAVE FUN OFF MY MAT: Spend a night on the couch with my best friend Annie, red wine, dark chocolate, popcorn, the movie Mean Girls and lots of laughter.
WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE: I am my best self when I stop trying and thinking too hard and just live in the moment.
WHAT I AM COMMITTED TO: I am committed to doing my best in each moment. I am committed to remaining open to others and sharing myself with others.
WHAT I SHARE IN MY TEACHING: I aim to open my students up to their own strength and power. I hope that students walk out of class feeling stronger and lighter in their bodies and minds.
HOMETOWN: I’m originally from Boston. Miami is home now.
