TEACHER TRAINING

The greenmonkey® 200-Hour Teacher Training program is designed for those inspired to enhance their practice in a way that creates powerful leaders and impactful teachers. Students gain new perspective and ability through a core set of modalities including asana, meditation, practice-teaching, and self-discovery while forging new connections and creating community. Most yoga schools instruct what to teach; at greenmonkey® we teach the why and how by providing the in-depth tools and hands-on experience that empowers future teachers to take their place in the class with skill and confidence. Whether aspiring to be a teacher or not, greenmonkey®’s Teacher Training will elevate participants to become leaders in their lives and within their community.

Participants will learn the foundation of poses and alignment, assisting techniques, sequencing, anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, and philosophy while establishing essential professional skills including clear communication, confident public speaking, and extensive personal development.

The weekends are “intensive”, meaning that the days will be packed full in order to give students the ultimate training experience! We ask participants to be prepared to devote their entire days to the trainings. While schedules vary somewhat from day to day/weekend to weekend, a typical day of the intensive program looks:

Friday | 8:00am – 8:30pm
Saturday | 8:00am – 8:30pm
Sunday | 8:00am – 6:00pm

PLEASE NOTE: There is pre-assigned and pre-requisite reading, journaling, and homework for this program.
Breaks will be given throughout the day and start and end times may vary.
